Sophie Coryndon

Over the last ten years Sophie's portraits and prints of flowers have developed in a scale and intensity that sets them apart from other artists working in this genre.  Since 2007 there has been a change of emphasis, presenting the central otif within a context rather than in isolation. 

Sophie's new work retains the strength and physical presence of her early paintings whilst moving towards metaphor and allusion, revealing the mythic potetial in everyday objects.
